how about guidelines for the DPR
Amidan, who heads the Ulema Council, said the growing number of Facebook users in Indonesia was a controversial subject among Muslim leaders and that he favored a ban because of possible sexual content.
The nation's religious leaders are remarkably good at completely ignoring the social ills that plague this (and all) countries. They are now seeking a ban on Facebook - or at least guidelines for its use. Like our friends in Rome, the nation's clerics seem to believe that all forms of temptation should be eliminated.
If the clerics are truly worried about the moral integrity of their flock, how about they start with the DPR? They could suggest some guidelines for new legislators covering, gee I don't know, stealing, lying, cheating, corruption?
